Cooking

Hello everyone!
I'm sorry for not having written in such a long time, and I know it's no excuse but as soon as I got back from Peru I was ill and then I admit I did have a week or two that I would have had time to write in but... to be honest... I'm kind of lazy... moving on, after that we have had a lot of work at school, it's those crazy weeks when all the projects are due and every one is super stressed out; so yea, that is why I haven't written until now. Also, just so you know, I probably wont be writing very often as exams are coming up, wish me luck!
Anyway, on with the post! Todays entry will actually be a little bit different, I hope you like it! Do leave comments below and let me know if you like it and I might do another similar one :)

So, I love to bake, cakes, cookies brownies, I love it! I have never cooked pies, pastries, mousses or cheesecake; I really want to learn how to cook these things to expand my knowledge on cooking so I'm going to try and make some type of the items stated before; today I made cheesecake.

I chose to do a London cheesecake form Nigella Lawson's "How to be a Domestic Goddess" which was a sarcastic present for my mum, as she hates to cook. So that you can try and make this delicious treat, here is a link that has the exact same recipe that I used, if you decide to test it out for yourselves leave me a comment and tell me how you did :D

I started of with a positive mindset, maybe it would all be ok and come out perfectly for once! I soon realised this was not going to happen. The first step was to blitz the biscuits in to tiny crumbs for the base, but of course my liquidizer (I think that is what it is called) is broken, so I had to make the biscuits in to crumbs by hand... this means I hit them with a rolling pin, put them in a plastic bag and crushed them with a bowl, I tried everything and after an hour I gave up and just put the crumbs in as they where, even though they weren't quite ready. I went through the rest of the steps and put it in the oven, after 50 minutes it was exactly the same, another half an hour and then, I gave up and decided to just put the final layer on top, unfortunately it sank in to the rest and just blended, so again I gave up and put it in the fridge. A couple of hours later I found a couple of pieces of chocolate, I melted them and once they where cold I broke them in to pieces. The final product was... good!

It actually tasted ok, so yea I suggest you try it! If I could make it work anyone can!
